try ammunitiontogo.com...I just ordered some low recoil Federal LE 00Buck 9 pellet 2 3/4" and some low recoil Federal LE hydrashock slugs 2 3/4" Otherwise I use Federal Low Recoil 2 3/4 #7 1/2 pheasant... these are $20.88 for 100 rounds at my Walmart. I use them for target and playing around... might mix in with HD rounds just for fun... face eraser type stuff. at 7 yrds with a 19" barrel the 7 1/2 keeps a pretty decent pattern.

My Walmart carries Winchester SuperX 00Buck--- and I don't care for the inconsistent loads.... some have very little recoil and then BANG it will turn you 1/4 turn. I have found a lot of consistency in teh federal shotgun shells... just my opinion, of course.

I only stock the low recoil Ranger buck and slugs. I do not stock the other brands due to slow turn over and low demand. I do not know off hand if ATG stocks the Federal low recoil.

Wally World won't carry what you need. In my case I have considerable resources available locally such as Bass Pro, Cabelas, and a couple pretty big gun shops and none of them stocked a variety of reduced recoil HD ammunition. I ended up ordering through Midway rather than burning a tank of gas driving around.

I did some work a few months back finding what would work best in my USPSA 3-Gun shotgun, a FN SLP, and in my HD shotgun, a Rem 870. Ammunition tested was:

Federal p/n H132 00. 9 pellet (1 1/8oz) 00 buck at 1140fps.
Fiocchi p/n 12LE00BK. 9 pellet (1 1/8oz) 00 buck at 1150fps.
Remington p/n RL12BK00. 8 pellet (1oz) 00 buck at 1200fps.
Winchester p/n WL1200. 9 pellet (1 1/8oz) 00 buck at 1125fps.

All had no issues in feeding and reliability in either gun. Three, 3 shot patterns at 50' with an IC choke in both guns revealed that the Remington held a tight, even 6" pattern. The rest had one or two pellet fliers that opened the pattern to as much as 9" depending on brand. In addition the Remington shot softer than anything else. Could be the lighter payload or could be the buffering that Remington uses. Due to the superior patterns the Remingtons are my choice. The softer shooting is lagniappe.

This is what worked in my guns. Yours may like something else. Get a few boxes and try it out.

Put a Knoxx Spec Ops Recoil-Reducing stock on your Mossy and you won't need to worry about low-recoil shotshells. You can fire magnums if you want without even getting a red mark on your shoulder. It will knock down at least 75% of the recoil.

Best thing I ever did to mine.

Nope... It has a built in pistol grip. In fact the pistol grip is part of the recoil reducing mechanism. It has a pistol grip and adjustable stock like you find on a AR-15 carbine.
