I dont like wally world either, but sometimes cant help shopping at mine. Especially when buying ammo for my .45. Its the cheapest around, even though it continues to go up like everywhere else.

Buying ammo at WalMart at night is SCAAAAAARRIER than buying it in the daylight.

It seems like I remember seeing a sign in the sporting goods department that stated 'No Firearms sales between 10pm and 6am'.

The three by me have different signs. One says between 9 and 7 the other between 10 and 7 and the third store between 10-7 and no fishing licenses sold during that time as well. This seems to be a growing widespread policy with wal mart. A few months ago when I was still buying factory ammo I asked the lady what the deal is with that policy. She looked at me and said well I guess they dont want people to buy it at night and then go crazy. I said how do you know I am not crazy right now? She knew me from previous visits so she laughed and said yeah I guess your right stupid policy.

I still can't figure out how to even get anybody to help me back there. I was even behind the counter looking into the case to see if they had what I wanted. Employees walked by, looked and kept going.

Maybe they thought I worked there. Too bad every things locked up, could have took it up front.

Hahah! I started answering their phone once. I was getting so frustrated waiting for the one person with the key to show up. I kept telling the callers that there was no one here and to go shop at Target instead.

I read a post from someone in a different WMT thread and he mentioned that he picks up the paging mic at the Ammo counter and uses it to get someone's attention when no one will help him. I've never done it but it does sound tempting.

i intensely dislike WalMart.. but, they sell ammo late night here.. the only thing is someone carries the ammo to the front checkout for you.. and you have to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to come to sporting goods with the keys to the cabinet..

other than that, it's better to just get it during the day, or at least earlier than 8pm..
