Wet ammo...

I have a 50ct. box of .40S&W target ammo that I managed to get wet. They were in the trunk of my car for the next time I wanted to go squeeze off a few rounds. I saw them the other day, and picked them up. when I did the box fell apart in my hand. Some of the rounds still had some droplets of water on them. I've taken them out and allowed them to dry, but I don't know if I should use them. I expect that some of them might not fire, bot could anything else go wrong. I just don't want to throw away a box of ammo...

I would think the water would not ruin them...they are crimped after all.

worse case scenario is you pull the trigger and it doesnt go bang, rack the slide and try another

You'll be alright factory ammo is pretty dang weather resistant. If it was a box of reloads I might be a little more cautious.

if the case didnt start to "rust" then you should be fine

it usually will turn a green color when copper or brass oxidize
the rust could cause the case to weaken but as for just water you will be fine as long as the case is fine
