For the most part, range reloads are crap. I've seen some decent stuff, but it's mostly crap. The round you show is a cast bullet, which is fine, they are better than swaged anyway. The bullet design may be the problem & the reloading technique is definetly suspect when you see the lead pile up at the case mouth. Not enough bell on the case & looks like maybe not enough taper crimp. Live & learn, but range reloads never go in my guns, never.

I shoot that profile in my XD all the time with no problems.
However, that was after i almost had a heart attack trying to get the right crimp and CAOL. Since I cast my own, and the TC was recommended by others for the XD that's what I bought. It was a bear though figuring it out. Now it's a winner. I do agree however, that is one nasty looking bullet. Mine would be rejected and re-poured if i had something that ugly. John |

Some of the bullets look worse then that one.
