UMC .40 S&W... Good ammo?

There's a bulk deal at a local sporting goods discount store selling a 250 round box of .40 cal FMJ UMC brand (yellow box) ammo for $80. Is this ammo entirely, positively, 100% quality ammo that will be perfectly fine to shoot out of my XD? I am picky about every bullet that goes into my XD, to give you an idea of standards, not one Wolf round has ever gotten near my gun. Is UMC up to par? If there have been problems with it I have no problem paying more for BB or Rem.

I really don't know how to answer that, I know I have shot a lot of it and never had one problem with it. If I'm not mistaken it's made by Remington .

Should shoot OK. Wally World is a bit cheaper on that, IRRC.

is it good quality...no but prolly perfect for cheap shooting and plenty of plinking. its not match grade or high grade stuff...but its just fine. you almost always get what you pay for, but this stuff is certainly not gonna hurt or be bad for your xd

I have fired a lot of UMC in different calibers at the range and haven't found a problem.

I have shot a few hundred round of UMC with no problems. Walmart had the 250 round box for $79 last time I checked, but my dealer has 2 boxes of 50 rounds for $25. Awesome deal.

The guy at the range who sold it to me said pretty much the same thing.
