group buy reloader
I don't know anything about reloaders other than the good ones seem expencive, and it may take a while to pay them off.
In an attempt the bring this cost down a group of my friends and I have been thinking about all going in on a reloader, and just buying he seperate dies that we need on our own. my one buddy has a shed that we all have a key to with a sturdy work bench in it, is there any reason that a set up like this would not work? |

it seems like a good idea the only problem i can see is the scheduling of who gets to use it when. if you can set something up that makes everyone happy then you should be fine. and as long as everyone using it treats it with respect and cleans up after themselves and that they don't dip into other peoples supplies without permission.
my reloader isnt being used 99% of the time so sharing one seems like a great idea. |

Thats a real good idea. I would look into it but I only know 2 other people that shoot and 1 gets his ammo for free.

if you dont go the group buy route look into the lee anniversery kit its a single stage beginer setup its a great way to find out if reloading is for you. mine was only $69 and yes being a single stage it is slow but it works and i will eventually upgrade to a progressive press but for now i am fine with it

Where did you get it Roger? Also how long does it take for say 100 .45 rounds?

I've been thinking about getting one, and letting my shooting buddy use it some. It would be a good way to pass the time with a good friend. The savings potential is great. You can buy deals in bulk on components. So instead of me buying a few hundred rounds and primers, I could easily double or triple the order since we'll both be loading, and split the cost 50/50.

I originally split my reloader , scale , tumbler and dies(.41 mag.) with a good friend of mine. We split thew price of components as well. I did most of the loading, but I enjoy loading. My friend has since passed away ,so now everything is mine.
