Wally World 9mm Hollow Points
I am waiting on my order for some Speer Gold Dot 9mm +p from ammunition to go. In the meantime does Walmart sell any decent 9mm hollow points that will work well in my 9sc. Id like to have some HD ammo until the goods get here.
Thanks

I've shot lots of Wally World's Remington 9mm JHP Value Pack (100 rd) ammo. Comes in a Green/White box. When I had my XD9sc it ate it up. It's got some good muzzle flash to it!!

Not sure about 9mm, but I shoot tons of Winchester White Box 180 GR. JHP in my .40. I've never had a problem.

Several gun boards that have had informal test in water, newspaper ect that included the WWB 147gr JHP stuff sold at Wal-mart show it to be surprisingly comparable to most premium ammo in both expansion and penetration. IIRC the WWB 115gr jhp is basically a Silvertip w/o the silver coating. Winchester's website shows it and the Silvertip to be identical in velocity.
I know several people who like the Remington UMC 115gr jhp's and I generally keep 3 100 round boxes of it on hand for SHTF stock. Personally, I don't think any of these would be a bad choice for self defence. My favorite 9mm round is the 124gr +p Speer Gold Dot, but I would not feel under-prepared at all with the Wal-Mart ammo in my gun. In fact, I have used both brands as my primary carry ammo in my .45's for years. Here is a pic of the WWB 147gr fired in water. I saved it from a test I saw online some time back.
