Who carries Corbon PowRball in their XD-9?
Picked up few boxes of this. A little hotter than I thought. Read a magazine test that had them clocked at almost 1500 fps. Anyone like them in their XD?

I haven't purchased any of this yet but plan to. Did you find a good deal on this ammo somewhere?

This is the ammo that I keep in my XD40 for home defense. I have never had a single malfunction after hundreds of rounds or it. Utterly reliable.

Sorry to report...no good deals on the PowRball. They are proud of this round. I have quite a bit of experience with it in the 165gr .45acp version. Never one hiccup but not quite as accurate as a 230gr in a tuned 1911. But they didn't design this ammo for accuracy. I agree...I believe this may be the ultimate defensive round due to its slick feeding polymer nose. Hard to imagine a jam with this round...at least in a clean XD.
I'll get some through my XD-9 maybe this weekend and report back. |

I use them, have not had any problems with them but then again I don't go to the range and shoot a box of 50. They work when ever I do test them out.

The latest testing results from Dr. Roberts show regular regular core-jacket separations. If you want Corbon go with the DPX. I would have recommended that even before seeing these latest results because the Barnes copper bullets already have an excellent reputation from past loadings.

I usually carry the DPX in my 9mm and my 38special.

If someone wants to try the stuff, we are giving away one $50 gift cert towards any Cor-Bon ammo of your choice, following Brian Enos' session in the Pistol-Gear "Bunker". Hey, who doesn't like free ammo!?
