Loading 9mm using Win 571

I have an old can of Win. 571 that was unopened until today. It looks fine and I'm wondering if anyone has any data using it with 124 gr. round nose lead bullets? I know I should just throw it out but must have kept it all these years for something! Also, what is a good speed for the above bullets in a 4" XD? I want to feel them but not lead the barrel more than these bullets normally do!

ok aparently hodgens(sp?) says its the same thing as HS-7

BUT MAKE SURE OF THIS BEFORE USING THIS LOAD!!!!!

THIS IS A MAX LOAD.

bullet weight-124
powder- HS-7
charge (grains)- 8.9 MAX!
muzzel VEL-1249fps
energy-429ft-lbs
barrel length- 4"
COAL-1.120
Load submitted by 'stigma'.
This load was developed using Speer bullets.
In terms of power, the developer considers this a MAXIMUM load.
The velocity measurement is by chronograph.
Speer cases and CCI 500 primers were used in development.
COMMENTS:
start at 8.0 and work up. data for Gold Dot hollow point and SP.

i got this load off of the ammoguide.com
and since i wasnt the one that developed this load i accept no responsibility for missing hands or what ever the hell else happens from using this.

Can't remember if I ever used any of this powder. I have loaded pistol rounds for .45ACP, .44MAG, .357, .38, and 9mm in the past.

You can use HS7 data & work up a load. I have used HS7 in 9mm, but it's best as a max effort load, not for lead bullets IMO. Don't throw it away though, you may want to run some 124grJHP @ 1200fps+.
