what are the best deals around the country right now?? looking for 1,000 or so rounds.

heard all ammo prices are going up 9% in april......is this true??

where did you here this? Prices on all ammo has went up drastically in the last 6 months . I hate to ask this but how much more will it go up? It seems like it rises with the price of gas .

yeah it's ridiculous. you would think with our technology and manpower, there would be a surplus of ammo and it would be cheap (despite iraq and afghanistan). same with gas, we control iraqi oil, so why is it getting more and more expensive. i've heard from many people that by june gas will be over $4/gallon. and the 9% ammo increase in april my local gunstore owner told me. don't really know if that's true though, cause 9% is alot, and i think everyone else in the world would know about it also......so that's why i'm asking.

the increase Wally World did on handgun ammo was between 15 and 20+%, depending on the caliber....

I'm about to order a 700 round Spam can of "Hotshot" ammo on Sportsmans guide along with 600 rounds of Surplus x54R. I think the price is reasonable and I put it on the 4-pay plan anyway.

there prices beat out ammoman.com and most other retailers with shipping.

i just purchased 1000 rounds of wolf MC of 5.45x39 and paid 150$ and another 150 rounds of yugo 8mm sniper ammo for 59$ total order came to around 230 bones with shipping.

ive priced ammoman, he just jacks up the price of ammo and says shipping is free but hate to tell you this there is no free lunch in this day and age!

*edit 1000 rounds wolf ammo in 7.62x39 is 179.95 at AIM surplus total with shipping 201.07

ammoman.com for same 1000 rounds is 199.00.

there is a link in the ammo section of the board i beleve that will give you all the calibers and the best prices on the internet! check it out.

4 years ago, I bought 1000 rds of wolf from The Sportsman Guide. Total with shipping and my $10 off coupon was just under $100! Now its almost double!

Oh the good ol days.

I think The Sportsman Guide is still pretty cheap though so check em out. If you find them somewhere cheaper than TSG please let me know. My SKS is hungry.
