22LR 20gr Aguila Super Colibri testing
Okay, so I finally got my chrono and took my little 22lr to test out. It was pretty kool to find out how fast the Aguila Super Colibri really shoots.
The label says its shooting 500 fps but I got a diffrent readings, this is the gun I was shooting with: ![]() I didnt shoot the Ruger 10/22, that was my wifes gun, so I decided to test it with my ultimate Cricket...yeah.. I didnt get a picture of the chrono, but I will next time, I did however, write the fps down, which is listed in the order fired with 10 shots: 635.9, 642.6, 640.2, 649.8, 652.1, 643.4, 639.9, 653.7, 647.6, 642.5 thats about 130+ fps more then what the box claimed...unless its the gun that made the difference, but its a very short barrel...Im thinking they must of chrono the ammo with pistols or something.. Now, on with the target shooting. All my shots were on a rest and sandbags with control breathings. This is the 10 yards shot: ![]() 15 yard shot: ![]() 20 yard shot: ![]() 25 yard shot: ![]() As you can see, the short range shots, they are pretty consistent, but as it goes out to the longer range shots, it really starts to spread..I didnt get the chance to shoot anything over 30 yards because my wife was begg'n to go home...but I will post up more on the ammo. |

yeah i love this stuff! with 22's you don't even need a suppressor, just shoot this stuff and get a 24" barrel and a sneeze is even louder!
