Question

So i just bought some Mil-surp 7.62x54r ammo from a gun show the other day. After inspecting the rounds, they all look good, except for a few rounds that have a "kink" or dent in the part of the case where the neck flares out to the case... think it's ok to shoot?

I'm guessing it's for the Nagant? I wouldn't worry about it, you're not reloading it anyway right?
I've shot plenty of beat up surplus ammo out Nagants without a problem, not that that's any guaranty that yours will be okay, just saying.

ya, m44 nagant...and no worries, i don't take anything as a guarantee, just looking for oppinions

As for reloading, i'll probably keep the brass that isn't dented in the event i decide to reload it at a later date. Although, out of several hundred rounds, we're only talking about 15 or so with a dent...

Could have a case split...

I seriously doubt it but it is a possibility.

Yeah, it's possible. But that wouldn't be a terrible tragedy, just irritating.
More likely you'll end up with some kind of partially fire-formed cases.
