I use it in .223 & .45. Like posters mentioned above - it's not the cleanest ammo, but I've never had any real issues shooting it, specially for the money. Fine for outdoor ranges, but most indoor ranges don't allow it in my area.

CCI Blazer is pretty good and fairly reasonable.

+1 for WWB. My walmart has it for 9.97 a box. I happily buy that over any cheaper ammo because I have never had an issue with it.

Conceyted, recheck your local Walmart, as I bet it has doubled in price...

Nope, I bought some yesterday @ $9.97. Jealous? The box of 100 rd is $19.94, no lie!

Makes sense I thought you were saying you bought 100 rounds for $9.97.

Over the past few years I have shot thousands of rounds of Wolf ammo through a XD9 and G17. I have had no problems with it. It is dirty and sometimes you get an interesting load, but you should clean your gun after shooting anyway. Some talk about how horrible it is on your gun but by the time you shoot enough of it to matter in an xd or glock you will have saved plenty to buy a new gun or two or three.

Can any material science guy or metallurgist weigh in ? I'm curious as the potential wear on the chamber and extractor. I've bought and used both in 9mm and .45acp, but a bit nervous about running through my 1911s.

Should I be nervous about unusual extractor / barrel wear? I'm not looking for internet "hearsay" but science answer hopefully.

thanks
