No more .223??
Anybody else noticing a lack of .223 around you? I was at Gander Mtn. yesterday and out of the 25 or so spaces for .223 ammo there were maybe 3 or 4 that had a couple of boxes in them. I guess its a good thing I don't have anything chambered for it huh?

What's the average number of times you can reload a 223 cartridge?

i.e. (in no particular order) load pressure. neck size vs. full length size quality of the brass crimping how your chamber is cut tolerances of your gun weather or not you use a shell catcher if you clean them how you trim them if you chamber is dirty well i think you get the point |

You could always make your own. .22 LR to .223/.224 projectiles, all you need it the dies, lead and empty .22 LR cases.

I found that I started to get neck splits at 5 times so I don't shoot them more than 5 now. Rarely I will get a split at 4. BUT, I inspect every case before reloading them. I stay below the max load for all rounds also and shoot only never-fired military brass.

everyone around here has .223 in stock and lots of it. the prices are going up but so is all the other ammo. but thats why I reload. it only costs me around 16-17 cents a round to reload.
