I've shot a lot of WWB in 9mm mostly. But to be fair, some of the brass cases are obviously once fired. So maybe that's what the gun shop guy meant.

I don't think I have seen anyone with any problems with them on the forum....actualy, they only ammo I have seen people (seemingly) have problems with is the Wolf steel case ammo.

9mm wwb for 18.99 makes it afordable to shoot more often, and I have not had a single peroblem with them.

If your cases look once fired in Winchester value packs or any Winchester box, find a new supplier. You're being taken.

The problem is most people think winchester is a premium quality producer of ammunition.

Winchester is basically a generic brand, people can't say they haven't noticed it's always the cheapest ammo on the shelves next to reloads... the powder is dirtier, the bullets tend to be improperly seated more than Rem or Fed, more dud primers, accuracy is always the worst out of the "big three", velocity is always less...........

THAT is my major problem with winchester. The fact that WWB is 'blemished' isn't the issue for me and I'll shot it without major reservations. I do realize however that I'm buying bottom shelf ammo and tend to look a bit closer at the rounds before I stick them in the magazine.

When prices are close I always buy other brands over winchester and I'd never use ANY winchester brand for self defense.

Now that walmart has WWB prices that rival other brands I'll likely never buy another round of it. I've got about a dozen boxes of 9mm I picked up on sale a meijer 3 months ago (gotta love the 15% off coupon) that'll be regulated for use in the Uzi's.

WWB ranks about this much "-" higher than wolf IMO.

I am going to have to agree with that statement there. If your stuff looks once fired then you better consider taking it back. Even "Cosmetically Blemished" ammo looks new.

I can't imagine WalMart is trying to rip me off of a few rounds of WWB

Even "Cosmetically Blemished" ammo looks new I don't understand this, your sentence is a textbook Oxymoron.

With enough polishing I can make my reloads look new. Even the thrice fired ones!

DISCLAIMER WOO WOO WOO DISCLAIMER
I am not spewing this as "fact" it is just a combination of what I have heard and my knowledge (which isn't that much) of mass production facilities and the automation systems they use.
END DISCLAIMER WOO WOO WOO

of the thousands upon thousands of rounds that are manufactured there is bound to be rounds that are in perfect working order but fail to be picked up by the autoloading machines.

maybe it was the angle at which they were sitting on the conveyor belt..
maybe just happened to be 1/3rd of an inch to far in the scheme of things to be picked up... who knows...
but even saying 1% doesn't make it on the first go round is still quite a bit when looking at the scale of which they manufacture.

So....

While there are going to be bad rounds (which won't get picked up generally) perfect rounds can and "do" slip by on the first wave of packaging.

They are "inspected" and then either packaged or discarded. No "seconds" just 1st class rounds (by winchester standards) that for whatever reason made it by the autoloading mechanism.

Just in case you haven't heard it from enough people yet, I have used the 100rd packs plenty and have never had a problem.

it all the same ammo. Winchester will not let "seconds" go out the door. The packaging makes the price differnce.
