Gee, might explain why virtually every FTF, FTE, etc. thread on this forum involves that ammo too, y'think?
The 550 count boxes of rimfire WalChi World sells are also factory seconds. So that lovely institution sells ammo that is seen by the manufacturers as unfit to sell through their reputable distributors. This is why I shop mom 'n pops and encourage others to do the same. Otherwise, the little shops that carry quality gear go under and then when (The Great) Wall Mart stops selling guns and ammo (and that day is coming whether you want to believe it or not), you don't have anywhere to get your gun goodies. And not everyone who works at a range or behind a gun counter is a drooling imbecile trying to pass off their opinion as fact or keep you from buying from a large faceless corporation that could give a rat's ass about your 2A rights...some of us actually know what we're talking about and may even know more than you about some things (whoda' thunk it!).

I had occasion to count a couple of 100 round boxes a couple of weeks ago. With two open boxes, I found I had 203 rounds.
I'm guessing quality control isn't all that great. |

If the guy had an I.Q. higher than that of an unborn rhinoceros, he'd be on your side of the counter.

I use to shoot it all the time and never had a problem. Still have a few boxes left. I never took the time to examine them enough to find a difference.

Just an FYI.....
I just had one in a box that had the casing slit back on one side during bullet seating when manufactured. If these were counted when boxed, it would be pretty simple to see. |

I shoot WWB .40 like it's heroin. I actually use it for USPSA as well since I don't have a press up and running at the moment. Works just fine for me. Maybe he was just pulling your chain?
