Something to ponder, do you think Winchester would KNOWINGLY let BAD ammo to be sold? Think of the liability that they have on them if something would go wrong, not to mention the damage to their reputation as a major manufacture.
Exactly. This is the first thing that came to my mind. It's not like selling a second quality shirt that was sewn a little weird. Plus, a second is marked as such and sold substantially cheaper than first quality.

Just got off the phone with a Winchester rep. He said they are Factory seconds but only after a person has inspected each round. They are only cosmetic defects kicked out by the automated loading machines. They are inspected for basic problems like improper crimping, crushed cases, and improperly seated bullets. There are other things they look at but he did not list them all.

Shouldn't they be marked as "blems"?

I've used four or five of those hundred round boxes of WWB with no problems.

and you wont have any problems either.
even though they are "seconds" it is just cosmetic and i seriously doubt that any performance problems exist

Thats pretty much what he said accept he added that he's seen a few guns blow up with that ammo. I've also used lots of the 100 packs. Thanks for the info.

That may explain why some people were finding other calibers mixed in.
