Blazer Brass vs Remington UMC
Is one better than the other? Purpose: General plinking and target, non-match.

Blazer got banned from the range i go to because of so many problems (misfires or squibs i think). Never had a problem with remington. Thats what i usually use at the range.

cci blazer
I am attending a four day hand gun training class at front site, in Nevada. It requires 800 rounds of ammunition. I asked them about CCI Blazer and they said they preferred the blazer because they have no problems with the bullets. I have shot blazer 45 on a regular basis with out malfunctions.

Most ranges don't like Blazer or Wolf not b/c of issues but b/c of Brass issues, they want to resell the brass for profit after you already pay a fee to shoot there, so they don't want to have to sort out aluminium or steel casings. I have a few ranges in the area, and only go to the one that lets me shoot what I want and lets be pick up my brass if I want to. The even have buckets of brass if I want to pick thru, they don't seem to care too much.

I had some BB .45ACP last year that had very weak crimps. The bullet would set back in the cartridge on a few occasions. Never had a problem with .40 though.

I've shot tons of Blaser Brass in 45 ACP and have never had any trouble with it at all. It feeds, goes bang and gets out of there every time. Unless you have problems with one specific type of ammo shoot the cheapest stuff you can.

My wife and I buy both 9mm and .45 ACP UMC by the case for range use when Dick's Sporting Goods has it on sale. We have shot thousands of rounds of each and it has gone BANG every time we have pulled the trigger. It is fairly clean shooting, so cleaning is not that big of a deal.

I've never shot anything FMJ other than Blazer Brass and WWB in my XD45c and I've never had a single issue with a single round from either brand. Blazer Brass seems to be cleaner and cheaper.
