I have shot a few boxes through my Ruger P89, and through a Smith and Wesson Performance Center .44 Mag. Both shot pretty well. I have heard some bad things about it from guys at the range. One of the big shooting schools, I can't remember which, I think it was Gunsite, specifically said it was not allowed in their classes.

For general plinking, I think it okay.

It is actually the kind of ammo they used to test fire my XD. The brass casing in the envelope that came with my gun says S&B on it.

It is brass, it is inexpensive and I have never had a problem with it. I use it a lot in my 45 service. Never had a problem of any kind with S&B.

I think the "range safe" is their steel/aluminum case version.

I've never had any problems with their brass cased ammo, but it's not combat quality ammo.

I've shot a lot of .45 and 9mm of Sellier and Bellot. Really good stuff, especially for the price. Plus you can reload the brass...good deal.

I prefer Fiocchi when it's on sale, but I'll definitely buy S&B ammo. Buckshot is pretty good as well
