Made the mistake of buying ammo online instead of at Wally World

Well, I guess you can chalk this one up to newbies failure to shop around. I got antsy after purchasing my new XD and bought 500 rounds of WWB online at ammunitiontogo.com. The price was about 11.75 a box. I also ordered 40 rounds of Speer Gold Dot +P HP. Well, the order hasn't come in yet and I decided that I wanted to go shoot this weekend so I just stopped by Walmart on my way home and picked up 150 rounds of WWB from there. The total price.......... 9.97 a box! I guess I should have shopped around before ordering ammo online. I worked out the math and I could have saved 10 dollars PLUS the cost of shipping if I would have bought my 500 rounds from Walmart instead of online. I guess I know where I will be buying my ammo from now on.

You are correct, but re-read my post. I bought both at ammunitiontogo.com. I was simply complaining about the price of the WWB online compared to the price at my walmart.

I guess I will go back and buy them out of it Does ammo go bad? hehe

Loaded cartridge ammunition from when cartridges were first developed still fire.

My favorite is finding old teat-fire/pin-fire bullets in boxes of old ammo people are selling at gunshows as souvenirs. If you drop them just right and they land just right. They explode!!!

Nice. I wonder how many boxes of ammo my Walmart has left. Maybe I will go check the other Walmart in my area and see if their prices are any different.
