Ranger 155gr Questions

Anyone have experience with the Ranger 155 gr JHP's? I have heard the 155 gr variety is not part of the "T" or "SXT" series, thus the lower price. Are they basically the same as the WWB JHP's you can get at Wally's? I was thinking of stocking up on some of these at about $15/50, but not sure if it's worth it, should I just spend the extra $ for the HST's I have been buying? Can't seem to find much ballistics info on Winchesters website or elsewhere. Thanks in advance for any info anyone might have!

When you hold up a Ranger JHP and a WWB JHP, there's a big difference. The Ranger's hole is bigger and maybe a little deeper, too. I'm having a hard time finding specific reports on them as well. They are damn accurate in my 40SC.

They are a standard hp made for a LE Contract. They were dumped on the surplus market because of soft sales in the LE market. I have a link on my web site that shows stats for this. I will post it later.

Found it, Go to page 12.

Thanks for the info! After some more research I think It's clear you get what you pay for with these particular Rangers. Still a good deal on JHP's at around $15 a box so I'll probably pick some up for fun but not as much as I had planned on. I'll stick with the HST for now, as they've proven reliable in my XD. Thanks again!

The RA40180HP is a proven man stopper. So far I had not ran across any real world shooting data on the 155.
