Press Lube
What kinds of lube do you guys that reload use on your press? I have seen some dry lubes out on the market such as "Hornady One Shot". I am worried about primer contamination etc. I do need to lube my primer feed to get them to slide correctly, but dont know what to use. Any suggestions?
I figure on the main ram I can use regular oil as that will not get anywhere near the primers, but what about the case feeder, primer feeder and shell plate etc? |

I use gun oil on the ram of my 550B & dry mica or graphite on the primer slide assembly.

I use motoroil to keep my press oiled up. I keep it away from the areas that come into contact with the cases and what not.

I use Hornady One Shot when reloading rifle rounds, it works pretty well, its pretty messy initially, but dries fast and works great. My pistol round dies are all carbide coated so they don't need any lube...

30w motor oil on the main shaft, grease on the linkage pins, and everything else gets clean with alcahol wipes.

Ditto on the graphite on parts that slide as a part of the primer assemby.
