aluminum or steel cased ammo

What are the negative things about steel and aluminum cased ammo? I was looking at some Blazer ammo thats either steel or aluminum and its like $4 cheaper than brass ammo . Its the .380ACP target rounds for my CZ83.

You can't reload them. Other than that I don't see anything wrong with them.

For some guns, it needs the brass to expand to cover the gap while firing, steel dont expand as much as brass, so sometimes it can cause problems. In the long run it can get build-ups in the chamber causing failures...BUT, from my on experiance, I shoot a SU-16 and I've put 2000 rounds of steel case and over 5000+ brass through it and I havent had any problems!

Some guns have extractor issues with steel cased stuff, but if you haven't had a problem yet, I'd say you're good to go.

i've shot almost 1k aluminum rounds through my xd with no probs. i've never shot steel, just because i can get brass or al. cheaper. i can't think of any negatives of either.
