Got a Pro 1000 Monday, Loaded 300 rds of 45 ACP in various powders and powder levels. Took some tinkering but once I learned the ins and outs, I can load a box of 50 in no time!

WARNING: THIS IS VERY EXPENSIVE!!

It makes you shoot more I keep going back to the store and buying more supplies to try differenr rds!

.45 ACP & Lee Pro1000 Powder Measure

I purchased my Lee Pro1000 several days ago, and just got it up and running last night. I read the reloading data included with the unit as well as the data in the Lee Modern Reloading Handbook. I am using Unique powder with 230gr. Copper jacketed Ranier bullets. My question is this: When I use the appropriate disk (.66) I get 4.5gr of powder instead of the 6.0 that the manual calls for. I increased the disk size to .76 to get 5.4gr of powder. I was reading about double disks (.32 & .34 = .66) but looking at the powder measure I don't see how it will fit. Any pointers?

You may have already found this information the double disks uses a longer set of screws and you stack the two disks be sure to put the smalled disk on top. The kit is just two longer screws and a extra set of disks that came with the measure.

Noticed some comments on another site about people saying they are going to buy another pro 1000 for other caliblers. If I bought one would it only load one caliber or can you just buy the different size die? Also will this load rifle loads with appropriate dies, .243 and .308 for example?

To change calibers, the entire Shell Plate Carrier can be replaced.

I've been to Lees sight and looked at Midway and Cabelas. Seems you can only buy the Pro 1000 with various pistol setups - no rifle. Also on Lee's sight they list all the parts you can buy for the Pro 1000 and it only lists pistol calibers and I think .223. Am I missing something on these sites? Or maybe the .308 and 30-06 would both use the 30 M1 carrier? I'll have to dig out my calipers from the garage, I can't remember what the head size is on the .243, visualy it looks similar to the .308.
