Is this what you would call a "flattened primer"?
I started going through some of the .223 brass that I picked up at the range and noticed that I've got several cases that have funny looking primers.
Are these what you would call a flattened primer, or are they ok? I'm assuming that when they look like this I need to toss them? Any info would be great. Thanks The top two are the ones that look flat, the bottom two look pretty normal.

Nope, a flattened primer shows no gap between primer & case. Those look fine.

The top right one looks like it is starting to flatten just a bit.
I will note that the ones that look slightly flattened are Winchester cases and the ones that look fine are Remington cases. Are you shooting handloads? If so you might be getting a little higher pressure using different cases.
