ok 9mm vs 45acp hollowpoints

This is a test a did awhile back with both 9mm and 45acp.Both are Remington hollowpoints, shot thru 2 pairs of bluejeans and 3 milk jugs filled with water. The 9mm is on the left and 45 on the right. Not a 40 shooter so sorry for you lol.

Are these the Remington "golden sabers" that come in the "value pack" boxes of 100?

Yeah a guy that I work with bought a few boxes of them a while back right before a USPSA match because our wal-mart was out of WWB.

Seems like a good way to stock up on Defensive HP ammo as this stuff was dirt cheap compared to other 9mm HP ammo. I mean it was like a couple of extra bucks for the Remington 100count HP when compared to the Win. 100 count Value Pack.

how far did each one penetrate. I am curious because my HD gun is loaded with the 9mm Remington HP.

There you go. One reason I still like the 45 over all others for a SD weapon. It's hard to argue w/ bigger bullets making bigger holes.

They both made it through the bluejeans, the 1st milk jug stopped the 9mm and the 45 ended up in the 3rd one.

Not what I would have expected. I would have thought that the 9mm would have greater penetration.

Thanks for running the tests!
