.45 XD FTE problem
I am reloading Lyman 452630 BBSWC case dimensions precisly to the book and every other case fails to eject. The rim hits the small amount of lead shoulder that sticks out of the next cartridge in the mag denting it and the mouth of its case which knocks the empty case loose from the ejector and back in it goes.
Previously I was loading them a bit further out and it would happen every 10 or 15 rounds. It has never happened with round nose. My thought is to try loading them a bit further out in the hope there will be more lead below the shoulder for the rim to ride against before encountering the mouth of the next case down in the mag. Or perhaps a tighter taper crimp right now it is crimped to .473 on the nose. Any thoughts? Thanks, Ted |
