Shot my second attempt at reloading
went to the range today and shot 400 rounds of reloads. I used the Lee aniversary single stage kit to make all of them. Out of the 400 i only had 4 FTF. 1% aint bad to me. I knew immediatly what the problem was, that the primer wasnt fully seated in the case. On the second try at firing the 4 bullets they went off perfectly. The firing pin seated them the rest of the way for me. lol.
I shot 155gr nosler bullets with 7.2grains of winchester #9 (I think thats the powder, cant remember off hand). the bullets had very little recoil and had no FTE. I had placed my ammo can off to my right and most of the shells landed back in it. Overall had a great time, much less stressful than the first time when i had about 50% of FTF, because of the primer problem. rob |
