ammo with big fireball
ok i have been reloading for a couple of weeks so far and i was wondering if anyone could recomend a powder that has a nice big flash and bang now im not really concerned about the accuracy of the powder. as this would be just for plinking i am reloading 45 acp and 40sw right now but will add 9mm and 223 the main one i want a big fireball for is 223 and the 45

PowerPistol & BlueDot would be my first choices. WHy do you "want" a large muzzle flash??

If you want a big flash in the .223 the 18" barrel isnt the one to have a 11" with the 5" flash suppressor is the most impressive and any ball powder will give a bigger flash. AA#5 is another good one for the .45. The most impressive muzzle flash I've ever seen was out of a .460 S&W next would be a .44 mag loaded with a max load of 2400, Hang on.

I was disappointed with fireballs with Bluedot. It came recommended and I tried it in my 686. Just did a number on making the cylinder hard to turn because it flashed inbetween it and the forcing cone more than any other powder I ever tried.
H110 definately for round gun fireballs. That turned out the best BOOM, Fire and also accurate. There were a couple of posts with nice fireball loads for your 44. Me I use 19.6 grains with a 125gr JHP bullet and it's nice for the boom factor. I'm looking for a fun load to give fire out of my AR-15, too. Not for regular use but sometimes it's fun to shoot a load like that. I don't know why you would want fire out of a 45, or 9mm though. But if that's what you are looking for, I'm sure some helpful suggestions will come along from the users.

I'd suggest working on literacy and maturity; fireballs won't seem so important. |
