So, a slower 230 grain, or a +p 185 grain? Looking for good penetration through winter clothing/layers.

I am seriously considering doing a range report on the expanding full metal jackets, to see what kind of penetration, expansion you get through typical clothing worn up here in the Great Northwest monsoons err I mean winters...
i.e. outer water-proof shell of some sort + fleece + sweater + t-shirt = a whole lot of stuff to fill a JHP cavity effectively turning it into a FMJ.

Either will go through a down jacket w/ ease. Will the HP clog, who knows? I would not bother switching to a "Winter" load. Use what you always use & shoot straight.

Check into the new CorBon with Barnes DPX full copper hollowpoints. Repeat, not jacketed HP, full copper HP. They are showing some amazing ballistic characteristics with near 100% retention of original mass after penetrating hard cover AND expanding.

Well a typical punk here in Cleveland during the winter may have on: a hooded sweat shirt, thermal shirt, t-shirt, and a leather, down, or denim etc coat.

Nope, I just know how these punks dress in the winter. I wanna make sure if I have to shoot a meth/crack head/gang banger its gonna go through his Cleveland Browns parka.
