Factory ammo question

First off I do not reload, I buy Brazer Brass at Walmart cheap but I have been told that they are VERY hot ammo. I have also been told that using the lighter recoil spring in my 1911 may cause malfunctions with hot ammo.
I was wondering what's a good brand for the 45ACP, was thinking maybe Winchester?

Blazer Brass ammo is not "Very Hot" it's SAAMI pressure spec ammo, just like the Winchester White Box ammo is. It is quality ammo.

Whoever told you that Blazer Brass ammo is "Hot", meaning higher pressure and velocity than standard ammo, is a moron and should not be counted on for any firearms related advice.

According to CCI's web site the Blazer Brass .45 ACP 230 gr. FMJ ammo 's velocity is 830 FPS.

According to Winchester's web site their USA 230 gr FMJ ammo's velocity is 835 fps.
