Some body told me Dick's is having another sale of their .45 ACP for 11.98 for box in case price. Anyone know anything about this. I called 3 Dick's stores and the staffs are clueless. They don't even know what .45 ACP.

hmm thats odd if you go to their website it doesnt even have a weekly add for this week.. i know they have been running that sale every week for the last 2 months or so...

I know they were last week, but I have not been in this week.

typical.. next thing you know you'll go to the store and some pimply faced clerk will tell you that the ammo's no good for your pistol cause he's an expert and he knows.

"Dicks", in my opinion, is a great name for the store. Not much selection, nothing's ever in stock, & high prices.

Ever since they've had that "ammo sale" on, the store by where I work keeps telling me that they haven't recieved the shipment to sell.

I don't know why everyone thinks this is such a good deal. Go to any Wal-Mart and buy all the Blazer Brass you want at $11.97 a box. They'll even order cases for you and have them by the end of the week.

Exactly.

However, when the 9mm is $6.98 a box on sale there, that is about as cheap as I have found it anywhere.

I have found that it varies greatly by store. For example, the store in Cary rarely has the cases in stock, and it can be hard to find someone to help you in "The Lodge." On the other hand, the one in north Raleigh has a very knowledgeable staff and almost always has cases in stock.

i only have one dicks store that i frequent.. never have had any trouble with them having it in stock.. i go in about ever other week and pick up a case of the 9mm while its on sale.. just to build up my stock here at home.. they guys that work here know what they are doing and selling.. good people i have spent quite a bit of time talking with.. ive sent about 1000 rounds of the umc 9mm down the tube with out a single problem out of it.. and at 6.98 per 50 even if i do have a few hiccups here and there i wont complain

I've bought about 9 cases of .45 and 8 of 9mm durring the last sale. I had good luck with Dick's and even got 'points' for all my purchases. I refuse to shop walfart reguardless of the price. Dick's even gave me a rain check for 4 cases of .45 and called me when they came in. Good deal.
