im in AZ and wondering if anyone who lives here knows the legality of Armor peircing rounds. Ammoman agree's to ship to me here, and i know that anything said is advice and NOT legal counsel. im not holding you to anything, dont worry. just thinking if possible having 1k for the proverbial SHTF scenario. w/a new "Krink" flash hider/wire-rebar cutter and a few AP rounds going thru a cinderblockwall wouldnt be as difficult. can't jump for anything anymore with the messed up legs so going thru as opposed to over, especially if there is a fire fight situation-id rather not be trying to go over a wall during that. we all have cinder block walls here, well most of us. mine is an 8 ft. but they range up and down like any other fences do.
also and Mods please let me know if this should be in the trading place... anyone in AZ that would want some Armor Peircing or Tracer rounds let me know-personal message. i bought some tracers and will get some AP's but need to know the cost and all, gotta try to break even so im buying in bulk so depending on interest i will go from there. if you are at all interested please PM me and i will shoot you over a price, or post it up as soon as i do some calculations. just kinda thought of it and hate doing unecessary math, so first i gotta see who's interested. also this of course only rides if its legal, gotta see about that as well. anhow let me know what you guys think. its a good way of buying ammo in bulk@ thier prices as oppsed to a bunch of boxes of 20. there might be enough of us here in the Pheonix area alone, not to mention the state. and dont worry, im a little confused as well |

AP, as far as M855 is concerned, is NOT Armor Piercing, but Anti-Personnel.

the steel "penetrator" helps to upset the round upon impact and cause it to fragment.

The steel penetrator core is also there to penetrate unarmored vehicles. The presence of the steel penetrator has little to do with the legality of the ammo. Since the military has labeled M855 as Ball ammo and not AP it is legal for sale to civilians. If the military call the M955(AP) ball ammo instead of AP then it would be legal too. They lawyers have no idea the difference between AP and Ball other than one is legal and one is not. They just go by the offical/legal name. Since the military calls it ball its ball.
