7.62x25 and 7.62x54r????

An ex co-worker of mine came by today and had a bag of ammo he wanted to sell.I told him it depended what it was so I looked through it.It ended up being 250rds of 9mm WWB,50 rds of 45acp PMC,20 rds 308,50 rds of the 7.62x25 and 40 rds of the 7.62x54r.All in the factory boxes,so I asked him what the wanted for all of it,he said I'll take $30 I said OK!Now I know I cant use the 7.62x25,some sort of russian pistol caliber.But what is the 7.62x54r for?They look like 308's.Im assuming some sort of Russian rifle.

Fairly common surplus caliber for russian (and other) military rifles.

The mosin nagants shoot the 7.62x54r's not real sure what else..I'm sure einheit would know.

No. Don't try it won't even fit.

Now the Dragonov which is based on the AK action does fire 7.62x54R.

I'm sure there are others out there but I've never heard of an AK chambered for this round.

Mosin Nagants, SVDs, TiGRs, SVT38/40, AVS36, PSG/SSG/PSL/FPL/RomAK3 (All the Romanian version of a big AK that resembles the Dragunovs), PK/PKM belt fed weapons, SG-43/SGM wheeled gun, PKP/Pecheneg SAW, DP27/DPM, RP-46 shoot the x54R.

CZ52, TT-33 (and all clones from the ComBloc and China- some ChiComs are 9x19), Type 64-Type84 SMGs, PPD34-PPD34/38-PPD40 SMG, Sa. 26 SMGs, PPsh41 SMGs, PPs-43 SMGs, PP-19 'Bizon' SMGs, TASCO 7ET9 SMGs, M49 SMGs Use the x25 ammo and can also use the .30 Mauser. The x25 is a HOT .30 Mauser round.

If you don't want the x25 or x54R, I'll buy it from ya....or go buy a Mosin and a CZ52 and get the 'addiction'!
