Remington Green box 115gr jhp
As I'm sure most of you know Walmart sells Remington Green box 115gr jhp for around $19.75 per box of one hundred rnd's.
As of lately I have been a very strapped on funds. When I have cash I like to carry 124gr Gold dots or Fed 115gr 9bple. Now I know the green box stuff is not going to be the best stuff to carry but doe's anyone no of any problems with useing this ammo for personal defence? When I get to a place where I can afford higher quality ammo I would then switch back to Gold dots or Fed 115gr 9bple. Also last year I bought a few boxs of some 147gr Federal Clasic Hi- Shock at Gander Mountian for like $3.75 per box. Anyone have any info on useing it as a carry round? Thanks! |

My friend at work bought some to shoot at a USPSA event. Not sure on expansion and how reliable they expand. Do they have a name or are they just generic JHPs?

The rounds expand well & they are usually about the most reliable of any JHP because of the ball profile. Put them where they nees to go & they will work.

Yup those are it. He shot them that day because they were actually cheaper than any other they had on the shelf at the time and WWB 100 round packs were sold out.
