Online Source for Variety JHP

I've been ordering from bigdogammo.com/ammunitiontogo.com for my self defense ammo. It's a great sight as it has a very large variety of brands.

I've also used ammoman.com, but his varity is not nearly what I'm looking for in an onlnie source. Georgia Arms doesn't have a high variety either. I'm looking to try a few different brands for a new carry gun and don't need to buy bulk just yet.

Besides these two sites, is there another online source that will have a large variety of SD brands in a variety of calibers?

The reason I ask is because ammunitiontogo.com is great, but it is located in my home state. This means I have to pay shipping AND sales tax, (which really adds up). I'd like to find a source that is not located in Texas so I don't have to pay the extra $$$ in sales tax.

Depending on weight and location it may be cheaper to pay John sales tax than to ship ammo across the country.

Example. I shipped three boxes of the 9mm 124+P HST to Irving TX. The customer paid 7.81 for UPS Ground from Illinois.

Last order I placed was $11 for shipping AND $10.50 for the shipping. I doubt any online site would charge me $22 for shipping unless it was a LOT. I only plan to purchase 5 or 6 boxes of different brands/weights.

It's also nice to have a backup source when one place is sold out or doesn't carry a certain round.

I sale a lot of full cases of Ranger or Fed Tac ammo to customers in OR,CA, and WA. It can get pricey with heavy ammo like 45.

Well I'm searching for 9mm.

Do you think I'd rather pay $7.81 for shipping alone, or pay $7.81 + 5.00 for tax?

Seems like a no brainer to me.

I don't think you're seeing my point of view on this. Why should I pay shipping & sales tax when I could just pay shipping?

I know what you are saying. I shop out of state some times for the same reason. I'm sure some IL residents buy from John instead of me to save the 6.25% tax.

Nice website. They are sold out of most ammo, however they have an amazing price on their Beretta 92.

Tom got a nastygram from ATK for selling ammo to the public. Now he just lists trade in ammo and stuff like that. If you are LE he has excellent prices on Gold Dot Blazer and Federal Tactical ammo.

The last time that I talked to him his Blazer ammo was running six or so months behind.
