thanks, guys.

as for the safe, those pics were from the day i got it. it's got a little bit o' stuff in there now. it's got rifle compartments built in on both sides; i'd just have to pull out one or both of the bottom shelves. i'll be getting a shotgun at some point in the not-too-distant future, so it'll have the honor of being the first.

the one Walmart near here doesn't sell ammo. woohoo, California!

i don't really trust reloads from someone else, but i'd like to get into making my own one day. for now, i'll just stock up when i come across a good deal.

$17.00 shipped for 100 pack isn't bad, after tax and gas. I'd say he about broke even and had it delivered, can't beat that... Only thing is, he never gave his source... GIVE IT UP!

Also, what's the model/price on that safe, that's real nice. I'm looking for something smaller like that.

factory reload is fine for shooting. 80 bucks out the door for 500 rds of .40 is a steal. i've been shooting reload for ages without problem. a key is to get the factory reload.

haha, sorry, Jeff: www.outdoormarksman.com . you have to click on the ammo type and go through the brands in alphabetical order. if you just click on Winchester as the manufacturer, for some reason the price i got doesn't come up. i ordered it monday morning, and had it wednesday evening.

the safe is a Cannon Patriot series, model P14. http://cannonsafecom.nxg.superpageshosting.com/home.nxg
i got it for $670 + tax, which is pretty good for a digital lock and triple handle. i did a LOT of researching before buying. Cannon is the only company that i know of with a zero cost repair/replacement policy. if it's ever damaged by theft, fire, or flood, they'll pay to have someone come out and repair it. if it can't be repaired, they'll pay to have it shipped out to them and pay for a new one to be shipped to you. heh, i sound like a dealer.

anywho, i just found out today that there is a local Walmart that carries WWB 100 rounds for about $16, despite the closest one not selling ammo at all. with tax, it comes out to be almost exactly what i paid to have it shipped to my door. either way is good by me.

Nick - maybe i'll try them one day.

Not trying to trump ya, but in the last month I've stocked up at Dick's. I've bought Five cases of .45 and five of 9mm. It is getting out of hand. I still have rain checks for four more cases of .45-hard to come by at the sale price. I love my stash of ammo.
