i just bought a pack of winchester ammo and i too k it out if the box and but it in a 100 count ammo holder and it turns about they gave me ONE FREE!!!!!
i was just wondering if anybody else has had this happen? i will count them from now on i suspect it will only happen with 9mm since they arent in the ammo holders

HEY! I just counted one of mine...99. Send me that round...it's mine.

I count mine all the time and have had 103.

I shoot the WWB 9mm value pack all the time. Quite often I get an extra round or two. I call them my lucky bullets and save them for the end of my range session. My guess is that Winchester packs them by weight instead of counting them. So if the scale is off just a bit that day, we get an extra round.

I do not think that they count the ammo
for the WWB that W/W sells. I am sure
that they weigh it (efficiency), thus it could be
(+or-) in count. I never count a box of
rounds, unless they are non bulk packaged.

yep happens to me all the time. Out of the three boxes I bought today I have one box with 99, one with 101, and the last with 103.

Once the box is filed it goes over a scale. If it is too light or heavy it gets kicked out. I do not know what the variance allows since someone else sets it.

Some guys are good at eyeballing it. If the box os too lose ie short on rounds they cram a few more in the box and put it back on the line past the scale. If I remember right 125 rounds in a box hold the record right now.

I should be able to fill ten mags. If I have any rounds left after I shoot the tenth mag, those are the extra!

That is interesting, I take the opposite approach.. I load the extras first..
