135 grain hydra-shok from SC?

I just picked up two boxes of 135 grain federal hydra-shok for my xd40sc.. Does anyone have any experience with these out of a sub compact?

124 & 147gr

I have not shot the 135gr but I have the Federal 124gr HS and the Federal 147gr HS (10 yrs old) and the Federal 147gr HST. For me it was a no brainer, I much preferred the 147gr (both)to the 124 gr. Far less violent and flashy. I had to order the HST from Streichers (law enforcement supply). They are not readily available over the counter from what I understand.

Is it safe to say that the 147 is much better also in the 9mm caliber? Or would it be better to get the lower grain round in the smaller caliber?
