FMJFN question

Sorry in advance for a possibly stupid question.

I have heard of the many feeding issues of SWC bullets in XD's. I have an XD 45 acp and want to try Buffalo Bore's 230 gr +p FMJFN. Would this bullet have any of the same feeding issues as an SWC? Has any one tried this particular Buffalo Bore product in their XD?

Thanks for your feedback.

I don't own a .45 but I can tell you that the feeding issues with a SWC are due to the lip. If you can run hollow points I don't know why you couldn't run FMJFN.

Your pistol will tell you but no, the profile is like many JHP on the market. Question though, why a +P FMJ round?

Thanks for the feedback to all. I haven't seen a SWC before and now I realize its the lip that can cause feeding issues. Answer for fredj338: Just want to push the penetration capabilities of the .45

Feeding issues can be worked out with mags and OAL
