Not sure but Speer used to sell a Jacketed SWC for the 9mm and the .45 not ideal but given your limited options unless you really want to shoot a lead slug you are kind of SOL.

thx
Corbon powerball or Federals Expanding full metal jacket ammo should do the trick.

+1, these are very cool round to find a way around that silly law. Here's a pic of it in action:

CorBon Pow'R Ball is also a very good choice, super high velocity!

Fmj?

Do you mean a JHP? A FMJ is not good for self defense. If you mean JHP, I just researched and decided to carry Federal 147gr HST as my defensive load. I recommend them.

He's not allowed to carry a JHP in his state. They are not allowed

Thus the reason for him searching for an effective FMJ round.

Ok, I'll edit and be political. He can own them and carry them, but he cannot legally shoot someone with a JHP. Laws, silly laws.

oops!

Sorry I missed that. Although I am anti-lawsuit - someone should sue the state of NJ if a bystander gets hit with a FMJ that over penetrated.

The trick is NOT to overpenetrate.
