Just shot my first reloads!
Well, after months of reading info and gather supplies, I finally can say I've shot my own rounds. My Lee Classic turret press came in on friday and I spent this weekend getting it all set up. Loaded 50 rounds lastnight and went to the range on my lunch break today to try it out. They shot great, were alot cleaner than the WWB that I've been shooting, and most importantly, didn't blow up my gun (my wife was nervous) or have any kind of failure. I used the load data off of the titegroup bottle. It was a 185gr. bullet from precision bullets, 4.7 grains of titegroup, with a CCI small pistol primer in used WWB cases. Can't wait to load up some more. Could have never done it without reading everything on XDtalk... Thanks to everyone!

It felt great when I loaded up my first .45ACP reloads and put a few down the barrel. Felt good to know I did it myself and I was going to see an almost 47 percent decrease in my ammo prices.

Congrats. I also was a little worried about blowing myself up so much so that I didn't even aim for the first magazine. lol.

Congrats, 4.7 of TG is a pretty standard load so you should have good luck with it.

It all starts with this. Load one caliber then you have to get another and another. So far I am only loading for 4 calibers....bound to be more in the future. Nothing like the feeling of saying...."I don't shoot no stinking factory loads!" Ok...the grammar stinks but the feeling of pride is all the same.

Heh, I started out loading .44 mag...
First thought that popped into my head when I shot my first reloads was, "holy ****, this aint factory ammo!"
