Cheap digital scale
I finally got tired of messing around with the PITA Lee scale, and bought a digital scale off of ebay for $20 shipped. It seems to work well, I cant comment on the reliabilty because I have only had it a few days. Here is a link to the one I won there are many like it listed on ebay, just watch and make sure is measures to 0.01 gn some only measure the nearest whole grain.

Reloading Scales
I have been thinking about starting to do my own reloading, so I am not well versed at all on the process or equipment. However, I have been looking at the equip. needed to start. I also looked at the scales on e-bay. My concern with those was that they don't have the accesories that the scales made speciffically for reloading have. Do I really need those accessories, as a starter reloader?

You get what you pay for. In the world of reloading where a 10th of a grain could be a better load...
Buy good quality stuff from reputable dealers. You can buy the Frankford Arsenal equipment for 24$ right now. The Pact BBKII is the next in line of cheaper scales. I have one of these and it has stopped calibrating. It still gives accurate weight even though I can't cal it. I have another scale I can check it with. Like the bumper sticker, "My other car is a Ferrari", My other scale is a RCBS Chargemaster 1500. This thing is the coolest scale you can get!! You get what you pay for.

Yeah, I looked at that scale on ebay as well. Looks like a pretty good deal. A day or so later, OS dropped us a line on some new items they are going to be stocking @ PistolGear and one of them is this nice digi-scale for $35
Just added a few new items to the store... I'm just getting started in reloading, but I plan to order the scale and the tumbler when they come back in stock. The prices are cheap, but if OS says the quality is good, that's good enough for me.

Digital is far better than any beam scale and well worth the investment, but you do get what you pay for. Just make sure it measures in .0x and that you can calibrate it to a know standard, preferable supplied. Just so you know you usually calibrate to a mid range because all scales will have some variation at the extreme ends. The degree of variation at the extremes is one of the things that drives the cost. Less variation means more accurate and usually more cost. A scale that is calibrated at 50grs. with + or - 1% variation can be off as much as .05grs at the extremes. When you consider that pistol reloader usually are working with 5 grs or less that can have significant impact on your loads.
