My dad just gave me a call. He stopped by WM to pick up some .40 Blazer Brass and they told him $6.40 per 50 the when they scanned it came to $5.69. Sadly he didn't buy them out only picked up 100 rds. Looks like I'm making a trip after work lol

I'm just as surprised. I went to WM on Monday and paid $9 and change for the same thing.

A few months ago, I went into Wal Mart to buy some shotgun shells for a clays game the next weekend. I also though what the heck and asked the counterperson for a 50rd box of alloy Blazer 45 fmjs. When he swiped the Blazers, the register showed "$4.99"...I asked him if that was the actual price and he said yes $4.99.
5 bucks a box of 50 for 45ACP? Really? Well, needless to say, I bought every da*m box he had (about 12-13 total). To this day, I have never seen Blazer alloy case ammo there again...at any price. I even asked if he had any in the back...but no such luck. I am not a fan of alloy cased Blazer, but at 5 bucks a box in today's high priced ammo market? I'll take them. I have never seen this "deal" at any other Wal Mart again. And yes....I always look at every Wal Mart I go in! - Brickboy240

Between the price of bullets and the price of diapers, lately it's all about the 22lr. A thousand rounds for twenty bucks. In some ways, prices have made shooting fun again. Tearing through magazine after magazine on a 10/22 on metal swingers/silhouette is good times indeed.
How many years ago was it that you could get a thousand decent rounds of.308, .30-06 or .223 for around $20? |
