It could be low and his price is exactly what I can buy it for at Walmart including taxes. I know he bought most of it some time ago and it's a mixed bag of ammo. I've picked up private party ammo in the past and the discount was pretty good.

I have had my XD40 less than a month. I would like to know what to expect in the way of ammo prices (both for target practice and for protection). My first purchases were Winchester White Box ammo for targeting and Speer Gold Dot Hollow Points (which were on sale) for protection.

Here are prices I found recently at SportsmansGuide .com (the parentheses indicate club price).

1. Are these good deals or do you know of even better deals?
2. Which is the best 40 SW ammo for protection?
