Holy cow! Roger in West Bend has found a screamin' deal on 9mm! Yow!
I usually buy at the end of the week, as that is when payday is. Starting last Friday, Farm & Fleet has a sale on WWB for $7.00/50. I bought 4 boxes there last Friday. Walmart here in town usually has the best price around at $15.72/100 bulk pack. This is in Waukesha.

Everytime I get anxious to order another damn bill pops up..car needs tires....crap like that. I looked at ammo yesterday at Walmart....I hate Walmart....don't sell guns anymore...$16 for WWB...$17is for 40rd value pack Remington whit and green box .223. I need both of em. Wtf do I do?!

Ed, this is a very good idea.
I have been doing this for many years - buying a box of ammo or two everytime I go to Wal Mart. You'd be surprised at how fast you can accumulate a stash of ammo for each caliber you own! Gone are the days where you could go to the gun show and buy cases of 8mm, 303, 9mm, 7.62x39 and 223 for cheap. I still have a few cases of these left, along with a case or two of rarer stuff like 6.5x55 Swede and 8x56R Austrian. I don't shoot all the pistol calibers I own all the time, so saving 45ACP and 40SW is easy. A few boxes here and there (my Wal Mart has 50rd Blazer brass fmjs in 45 for 9.45 and 40 at 7.50 a box) and I have almost 2000 rounds of 45 and 40 fmj ammo in my house. I keep them in the metal 7.62mm military ammo boxes. They're 5 bucks apiece at our Army surplus store and are waterproof and hold loose ammo just fine. I have several metal ammo boxes for 9x19, 45ACP and 40SW ball ammo, sitting in my closet. I have other ammo cans marked for 12 gauge, 20 gauge and 7.62x39 that are in loose bulk in these cans. This beats the hassle of stacking those little boxes on shelves. Yes...buying a little at a time and squirreling it away is a good policy. Buying 1000rd cases these days is a huge outlay of cash at one time. If you are not shooting competition, a little at a time makes sense. I usually don't need 1000rds at a time anymore. Other than reloading (which is not possible for some, due to time constraints - like me - or space/money for the press and components) this is a good way to accumulate ammo. - Brickboy240

No kidding. A few weeks ago, all I had was the 50 round box of Rangers that I keep for carry ammo for my XD. Now I've got about 500 rounds of ammo squirreled away. It really does add up quick.
