Widners Questions
I was recently browsing the widners site for reloading supplies and was plesantly suprized with their prices.
Question1: Their webiste is "quirky" to say the least I have to log in multiple times during any given session and my shopping cart goes blank each time. Question2: What kind of charges do they have for their haz-mat charges on primers and such. I'm trying to figure out if it's cheaper to buy though them or localy. Locally I'm looking at a little over 40 dollars per thousand primers. Thanks for looking,

Good people and good service give them a call or send an e-mail to find out about hazmat fees.

Question 1 response - I've experienced issues with their website in the past. I recommend calling them.
Question 2 response - I believe the HazMat fee is standard. I don't remember the amount but I think it was $20 for powder. And I don't remember what the charge is for primers. Again, you can call them. WRT the company, I have been pleased with wideners in the past. Customer service was good and shipped quickly. |

And yes $20 is pretty standard for Haz-Mat charges. Some places will not ship powder and primers together, which I think is actually the law, however, I have gotten away with it more than once

Go to Powder Valley & have a look at their prices. They charge $20 HM but you can mix primers & powder. Shipping charges are for cost only, pretty reasonable.

Your local price is over double what I pay. You can definately do better ordering online. I believe that you can do up to 25K on one hazmat, so get some friends or do a big order.
