The days of cheap 223/5.56 are gone. If you can find anything other than Wolf for 320.00 buy all you can. By the end of this summer you can sale it off for a very decent profit. It is a much better investment than than stocks or CD's.

The last k of M855 I bought cost me slightly less than $300; and that's probably going to be my last purchase (of mil surp ammo) for another long time to come. I simply can't convince myself to pay more than that for ammo. In the scale of price hike, the ammo dealers definitely get the big oils beat.

Perhaps I will unload some for extra cash when the price hits $1k for a k?

High demand and prices are not making me any money. I know that I'm losing money because if I do not have the ammo my customers are buying from some one else.

None of this stuff is really Surplus. It's actually a defective batch that got sold off.

With the way things are going right now the Govt. isn't just going to sell off ammo unless it has a reason.

WHen I say "defective" I mean by the govts. sense. If a batch of a "lot" of ammo fails chrono or ballistics testing that "lot" is considered defective and is sold off. Or in some cases destroyed.

Not to mention with recent policy changes any excess (which there is non anymore) or "old" ammo is having a harder time finding it into the surplus market.
