Is that lacquered or poly? Lacquer scares me. The poly is good stuff.

I have run 997 rounds of Wolf Poly through my AK. 3 rounds in the mis-fire can.

This is somewhat tangental, but your post reminded me of this:

I was at the range with a good buddy who was firing his AR that was factory chambered for 7.62 x 39 . Every few rounds he would jam up and as a result he had a pile of ammo with deformed bullets that could not chamber. (The rounds were fine before the jams. It was Wolf "miltary" stuff. i.e. Commercial ammo manufactured to miltary specs, coating and all.)

He handed them over to me. Every last one of those "bad" rounds chambered and fired in my 25-30 year old AK-47.

I spent some time pondering about the armalite design a bit after that.

(I *do* think the design has a lot of merit if the upper is changed to a moving rod activation system like the older U.S. service arms, and chambered for the .308 . Some of the manufacturers are starting to see this. Expect to see some rifles like this in the next year or two.)

I just bought a case of Wolf for my AK-47. I have ZERO worries about it in that rifle.

I've shot thousands of rounds of Wolf thru my AK clone, no problems.

I've shot thousands of their 9mm and .40 cal thru my XDs, no problems.

My personal experience tells me that a reliable gun will shoot Wolf fine, while a finicky gun may have problems.

This is one of the biggest debates in the ammo world around. Some people avoid Wolf like the plague, even though some have never tried it. Some people buy all they can. I fall into the second category. I've shot upwards of a thousand rounds of Wolf and about 250 rounds of Remington UMC through my Bushmaster. I have had NO issues with the Wolf, and several FTF with the Remington. My suggestion, buy some. If you're gun likes it, great, buy some more. If not, oh well, at least now you know.
