Ammo Prices!!
Now I know this is no suprise to most folks here, but I haven't been shooting for about 7-8 months now due to school and work. Well after hearing about the incident at Virginia Tech this morning I was going to stop by Academy and buy a couple of cases of Winchest 9mm 115gr. And let me tell you.. I was shocked!! When I last went in there they were selling boxes (50 ct) for $3.99.. today they were $7.93!! Have prices went up across the entire spectrum.. all calibers?

The .223 i bought a few months ago went up 25$ per 2000... not much, but it did go up. i haven't bought small-loads in a while...

One scheduled increase is going on right now. It may be the end of the month before the consumer get it. There is another one for later this year.

The prices continue to escalate and will likely continue to do so. The trend has been upward for over two years...no reason to expect them to go down.
